Alberto Schommer. Premio Nacional de Fotografia 2013

Por fin, Alberto Schommer recibe el Premio Nacional de Fotografía.
Nacido en Vitoria hace 85 años, y Académico de Bellas Artes y Medalla de Oro de Bellas Artes, el fotógrafo ha recibido esta noticia con satisfacción. Toda la profesión y los amantes de la fotografía se preguntaban por qué este premio, otorgado por el Ministerio de Cultura,  no se le había concedido con anterioridad en reconocimiento de su obra.
Autor prolífico (mas de 60 libros, innumerables exposiciones y colecciones),sus trabajos mas populares son los retratos psicológicos publicados en el periódico El País, con los cuales se convirtió en un testigo privilegiado de la Transición.

Alberto Schommer a finalement reçu le Prix National de Photographie 2013 décerné par le Ministère de la Culture espagnol.

Né à Vitoria (Pays Basque) il y a 85 ans, cet Académicien de Beaux Arts, et Médaille d'Or des Beaux Arts, a reçu la nouvelle avec satisfaction. Cependant, les collègues photographes et les amateurs de photographie, se demandaient pourquoi cet artiste n'avait pas été honoré plutôt.

Avec plus de 60 livres publiés, énormément d'expositions et collections, les travaux qui lui ont rendu plus populaire sont les dénommés portraits psychologiques, publiés dans le journal El Pais sur plusieurs années et qui l'ont converti en témoin privilégié de la Transition espagnole.

Alberto Schommer , the great 85 years old Spanish photograph has been rewarded with the  2013 National Photography Award (Premio Nacional de Fotografia) , given by the Spanish Culture Minister.

Whether photographers and amateurs were wondering why the culture minister took so long to give this Award to this popular artist.

Schommer was born in Vitoria ( basque country), and he's best known  for the series portraits made for the newspaper El Pais. They are called psychological portraits. Schommer's photographic work  became a reference and a witness of the Spanish Transition

La exposicion, en colaboracion con el museo Dolores Olmedo , intenta reflejar también la personalidad compleja , apasionada y comprometida de esta pareja.

We can't understand the work of Frida without the work of Diego, they complete each other and that's why this exhibition is so special, and the reason why the exhibition is called Art en Fusion.
